Jim is recognized worldwide as an expert in the areas of airplane recovery, repair, modification and passenger-to-freight conversions. Prior to SOAR, Jim worked over 28 years at Boeing and served as Director to several Boeing and McDonnell Douglas organizations including Boeing Maintenance and Modification Services and the world renowned McDonnell Douglas Recovery and Modifications Services organization (RAMS).

Chris Merry
General Manager

Prior to laying the ground work for the formation of SOAR, Chris earned over 20 years of heavy commercial aircraft field repair and modification experience and participated in the executive management of companies and aerospace business units for several corporations. He spent 12 years in the field for McDonnell Douglas RAMS as a Sr. Program Manager and 2 years for Boeing AOG.

Thomas R. Napton

Tom has been providing legal counsel, via senior level management positions, to the aerospace industry for over 25 years. Previous positions include Senior Staff Attorney for The Boeing Company, Vice President of Contracts for the Piper Aircraft Center, Manager of Contract Compliance at Rockwell International Corporation, and Chief of Staff to the VP/Deputy Program Manager, United Space Alliance, Kennedy Space Center, where he provided support and oversight of all Space Shuttle launch and landing operations. Tom possesses an extensive compliance and regulatory background with experience in risk and supply chain management, conducting program reviews, audits and interpreting contracts and policies in the Commercial, Government and International forums.
